Drowse-E Cover

A steering wheel cover designed to detect and alert driver's who are falling asleep at the wheel. Developed a flexible, pressure sensor utilizing conductive thread and piezo-resistive material. Calculates grip pressure as a measurement of a driver's drowsiness. Final prototype was capable of sensing drastic decreases and/or dangerous levels of grip pressure, and alerting the driver through a sequence of high frequency noises and vibrations. A detailed report  can be found here.
